On Tuesday 24 February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. Scottish CND unequivocally condemns Russia’s military actions in the Ukraine and the threat to use nuclear weapons.

Upcoming Events and Actions

SATURDAY 7 MAY at 11.30am for 12pm March (GLASGOW): Stop the War Demonstration on the International Day of Action to stop the war in Ukraine. The demonstration, organised by the Stop the War Coalition and supported by Scottish CND, joins with dozens across the UK. Meet at Blythewood Square in Glasgow and march to George Square for a rally. TUESDAY 1 MARCH at 7pm: Online Rally – No to War in Ukraine. Organised by the Glasgow Stop the War Coalition. Find out more and register online via Eventbrite.

SATURDAY 5 MARCH at 12.30pm (PAISLEY): Scottish CND and SNP CND will be raising awareness of the situation in Ukraine at the AUOB March on Saturday 5 March. We’d welcome supporters to help get the message out. Contact if you can help.

SUNDAY 6 MARCH at 12 noon (GLASGOW): Gathering at the Donald Dewar Statue on Buchanan Street supported by Glasgow CND. All welcome.

SUNDAY 6 MARCH at 4pm (ABERDEEN): Peace and Solidarity Protest organised by CND North East Scotland. Meet at 4 outside Marischal College. Bring flags and banners, and your friends and family! Find out more on Facebook.

SUNDAY 6 MARCH at 3pm (EDINBURGH): Human Chain of Solidarity in Edinburgh. Meet at the corner of Princes Street & Castle Street at 3pm – the full chain should be formed by 3.30pm and maintained until 4pm. Organised by Edinburgh peace and anti-war groups as part of the Global Day of Action: No to War in Ukraine. Find out more on Facebook.
