Question 1. The Scottish Parliament should continue to call on the UK government not to go ahead with the currentproposal to replace Trident. Question 2. The Scottish Parlaiment should call on the UK government to cease the deployment of Trident Question 3. The Scottish Parliament should support a Nuclear Weapons Convention (a global ban on nuclear weapons). Question 4. Are you for or against the construction of new nuclear power stations in Scotland ? " As the earthquake in Japan has shown, nuclear installations are not safe and we are not really in control of what happens in the event of an accident. We are also unable to deal with the waste in a satisfactory manner. "And in fact Scotland does not need nuclear power when we have the superb wind, wave, and tidal power at our disposal. |" |
