Question 1. The Scottish Parliament should continue to call on the UK government not to go ahead with the current proposal to replace Trident. Question 2. The Scottish Parliament should call on the UK government to cease the deployment of Trident Question 3. The Scottish Parliament should support a Nuclear Weapons Convention (a global ban on nuclear weapons). Question 4. Are you for or against the construction of new nuclear power stations in Scotland ? "The SNP has historically campaigned against the obscenity of nuclear weapons and I am proud to support that position. We are also opposed to nuclear power stations and nothing that has happened recently has weakened our argument about the futility of such a source of energy. Scotland sits as the renewable capital of Europe and that is where our energy future must lie," |
