""I can confirm that I am totally opposed to the construction of new nuclear power stations in Scotland.  As you know, this has been the firmly held view of the SNP for decades and I cannot envisage it changing.  In government, we made it quite clear that we would use whatever appropriate devolved powers there were, to block any attempt to foist new nuclear power stations on us."
