Trident Debate 21 December 2006:

Voted against an SNP motion and a Lib Dem amendment. Both called on the UK Government not to go ahead at this time with the proposal to replace Trident.

By voting this way she prevented the Parliament from taking a stand against Tony Blair's plan to replace Trident submarines in 2024 and to keep nuclear weapons in Scotland until 2055.
