Replied to a letter from Scotland's for Peace saying that he would vote against the replacement of Trident
"I have been a member of CND ( and recently Trident Ploughshares) off and on since 1958. When asked why I turn out still after 50 years, I explain that we had got to a point where it was getting better - now it could get worse, and the best way to stop the spread would be for one small country to set an example by giving up nuclear weapons."
Has consistantly opposed Trident as an MSP
