April 2009 - Nigel Griffiths spoke at a conference in Glasgow, organised by Scottish CND, against Trident Replacement

14 March 2007 - Voted against the Government motion which called for the renewal of Trident. Speech

March 2007 - Resigned from his position as Deputy Leader of the House of Commons and voted against the proposal to replace Trident. On 11 March the Sunday Herald reported that Mr Griffiths had told a meeting with constituents that he could not vote for the replacement of Trident.

Spring 2007 - He repied to a letter from a constituent and said - "As a former Minister with responsibility for non-proliferation, I take a keen interest in this."
