October 2009 - Des Browne set up the Top Level Group of UK Parliamentarians for Multilateral Disarmament and Non Proliferation. The group has lobbied the US Congress to support the ratification of the US-Russia START follow on treaty. It was established as a British equivalent to the Kissinger/Shultz/Perry/Nunn initiative in the USA.
14 March 2007 - Proposed and voted for the Government motion which called for the renewal of Trident. Speech
