Under the Geneva convention religious sites should not be the targets of an attack. A nuclear bomb would destroy any churches, mosques, synagogues and temples in the area. In 1945 the Christian Cathedral at Nagasaki was completely destroyed by the bomb. Several temples in Hiroshima and Nagasaki were also destroyed. The photo shows the remains of one of these temples.
