Trident aimed at Russia

Defence Minister Philip Hammond hinted that Trident was aimed at Moscow when he said that Britain should keep nuclear weapons because of the potential threat from Russia. (Scotsman) In recent months Nick Clegg criticised the current plan for Trident replacement because it was designed to "flatten Moscow". Scottish CND recently published a report which shows that an attack on the city by one British Trident submarine would result in 5.4 million deaths, equivalent to the population of Scotland.
