MPs misled about legality of DU

The MOD have admitted that they failed to carry out a review into the legality of Depleted Uranium (DU) weapons. On 10 October Nick Harvey, the Armed Forces minister, told Ayrshire MP Katy Clark that DU shells could continue to be deployed following a review of their legality. Now he has admitted that the review of whether DU weapons comply with the Geneva Convention has not yet started. Reported by Rob Edwards in the Guardian.
