SWEEP AWAY TRIDENT

Trident fits perfectly into this scenario. It is the ultimate weapon for projecting power across the world and striking fear into the heart of any nation which resists US power. And yet Britain’s Trident fleet is the weakest link in the whole network. Popular opposition is rising across Britain, especially in Scotland. 2008 could yet be the year when the Scottish people combine with their parliament and government to sweep away the whole project. Now that would make it a year to remember!
