TRIDENT REFITS

In December the oldest Trident submarine, HMS Vanguard, returned to Scotland at the end of a long refit and nuclear refueling at Devonport dockyard. The refit had been extended by more than 6 months. The second submarine HMS Victorious sailed from Faslane in January to begin its refit at Devonport. The Navy will work with two fully armed submarines for the first half of this year, while HMS Vanguard carries out trials.
