Trident, jobs and the UK economy

This week CND launched a new report “Trident, jobs and the UK economy” at TUC Congress.  This illustrates the impact that replacing Trident is likely to have on jobs and the potential for diversification.  The report was written in Scotland by Professor John Foster along with Alan Mackinnon and John Ainslie from Scottish CND.  It recognises that defence jobs could be lost if Trident replacement goes ahead, but does not advocate spending money on conventional defence.
