As the rest of world prepares to negotiate a new treaty banning nuclear weapons at the United Nations, the British public is being put at grave risk of a nuclear weapon accident and radiation leak, according to a new report published on September 21st.

The report, Nukes of Hazard: the Nuclear Bomb Convoys on our Roads, was commissioned by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (UK) and written by investigative journalist Rob Edwards. It is based on reports releasedby the MoD under freedom of information law, responses from local authorities and fire services and an opinion poll commissioned from YouGov.

Come along to hear from the report's author Rob Edwards, environment editor of the Sunday Herald and regular contributor to the Guardian, a co-founder of the investigative journalism co-operative The Ferret and the co-author of three books on nuclear power. Hear from other experts and from elected representatives about the risks to the people of Glasgow from the nuclear weapon convoys.
