Activity

For each document list the arguments mentioned in favour of and against retaining nuclear weapons.

      • Try to group the arguments according to whether they are political (to do with defence strategy and balance of power), legal (to do with treaties governing proliferation of nuclear weapons), pragmatic (including economic) or moral.
      • Rank the arguments on both sides in order of persuasiveness
      • Note which arguments are common to two or more documents, which unique to one document
      • Note whether the same facts are used to support different arguments
      • Note any differences in emphasis and approach between documents
      • Try to account for the similarities and differences between document
