LATEST EDUCATION PACKS

Last year's education pack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki proved very popular.
This year Scottish CND Education Committee has produced two packs, one to mark the 20th anniversary of the
nuclear accident at Chernobyl and one on energy issues. Both packs are FREE.

The Chernobyl pack is centred on the two poems by Mario Petrucci with supporting notes already published on the
SCND web-site and includes both the WHO report on Chernobyl and the TORCH alternative report on Chernobyl,
as well as a DVD based on Mario Petrucci's sequence of poems about Chernobyl.

The Chernobyl pack is aimed primarily at teachers of English and Media Studies, though some of its contents will also be
of interest to Modern Studies teachers.

The energy issues pack is suitable for teachers of Modern Studies, Geography and for cross-curricular use in classes on
citizenship.
Contents of the packs are given below. The starred items may be viewed by clicking on the relevant item.
Some of the other items may be viewed by visiting the relevant web-site.

If you would like to order one or both of these packs please email SCND@banthebomb.org or acclarke6@btopenworld.com.
