A poll carried out by teletext on 29th April 1999 showed that the vast majority of Scots don't want nuclear weapons.
The poll asked "Should Scotland have nuclear weapons ?"
85 per cent said NO and only 15 per cent said YES.
This provides new proof of the overwhelming rejection of Trident by the people of Scotland. The poll is publicised in adverts for teletext in today's papers.
