A vigil against the bombing of Iraq will be held in
George Square Glasgow at the nativity scene crib
from 4pm to 6pm
this evening (Thursday 17 Dec).
Last night (Wednesday) 30 people gathered at a few hours notice at the same place. Representatives from Scottish CND, Islamic Relief, the Catholic Justice and Peace Commission, the Scottish Socialist Party and the United Nations Association attended along with Councillors Malik and Mann from Glasgow City Council. They lit candles and held placards and banners saying "Don't bomb Iraq".
