A convoy of vehicles arrived at the Atomic Weapons Establishment Burghfield on Wednesday 3rd September and has since been loading up with nuclear weapons.
The convoy is expected to travel up North on Sunday or Monday, close to the route taken by the funeral party for Princess Diana.
The convoy will almost certainly be carrying nuclear weapons for Trident submarines which are based in Scotland. The destination will be the nuclear weapons store at Coulport.
It is expected to arrive in Scotland before the referendum on a Scottish Parliament which will be held on Thursday 11th September.
