PROTEST AT BRITISH AEROSPACE

A blockade of the British Aerospace factory at Ferry Road Edinburgh took place from 0715 am to 0930 am on Monday 10 June. The demonstration is organised by Faslane Peace Camp as part of their 20th birthday celebrations.

Protesters blockaded two gates to the site and prevented cars from entering. They are highlighting British Aerospace's involvement in supplying arms to India. The Company is seeking a billion pound contract to supply Hawk aircraft and is also supporting the production under licence of Jaguar aircraft. Some of these Jaguar aircraft are probably deployed as nuclear bombers.
