Rally for Peace

Around 300 people attended a rally for peace in George Square, Glasgow, on Saturday 28 October. They heard from a range of speakers including:

Cllr Bashir Mann of Glasgow City Council
Ken Ross of Strathclyde Fire Brigades Union
Eildon Dyre of Christian Aid
Rev Norman Shanks of the Iona Community
Rev Maggie Lunan of the Church and Nation Committee of the Church of Scotland
Ritchie Venton of the Scottish Socialist Party
and Patrick Harvie of the Scottish Green Party

Messages of support had also been received from Mohammad Sarwar MP and Glasgow Lord Provost Alex Mossan.
