Joint Statement

8 Members of the Scottish Parliament along with 13 Church, NGO and Trade Union leaders have signed a Scottish CND declaration in support of a peace rally which will take place on Saturday 22nd September at 11 am. The declation says:

We the undersigned extend our deepest sympathy to the victims and families of those killed in New York and Washington. We oppose any action which will make more innocent victims and we believe that retaliatory strikes by the US government and would achieve nothing. We are therefore campaigning to stop the war - no more innocent victims.
