Public Safety in Scottish Waters
-That the Parliament believes, in the light of the recent discovery of a generic design fault which may affect 12 nuclear submarines and the decision that one of these submarines should return to sea, that the provisions of the Clyde Public Safety Scheme and other submarine nuclear safety schemes should be urgently reviewed to ensure that these emergency planning measures provide adequate safeguards for the public in the event of an accident on a nuclear submarine.
